FAQ

  • What exactly is "Ensō Mindset," and how is it different from other leadership coaching?

Ensō Mindset is rooted in Japanese discipline and philosophy to help leaders find calm and align their why.
When your why is aligned, your motivation pulls you forward. You begin to find clarity and flow in your leadership—decisions come easier, presence becomes steady, and energy is no longer scattered.

  • What is the Human Impact Kata? How does it work—and how does it benefit leaders?

The Human Impact Kata is our signature leadership course.
It’s inspired by disciplines where leadership mastery begins with self-mastery.
Designed like the belts of karate, the program honours the time real change takes—habits begin to stick around 60 days, behaviours start to shift after 90, and a true way of being starts to form over 8 months or more.
It’s built on persistent, disciplined practice. Leadership mastery is lived.

  • When is the next cohort, and how do I sign up?

The Human Impact Kata runs in cycles throughout the year, with new cohorts opening at key seasonal points (January, May and September). I also host live webinars monthly to introduce the practice and help you explore if it’s the right fit. To stay updated on upcoming start dates, webinars, and early access invites, join the mailing list at ensomindset.com.

  • Is there any science or research that backs up your approach?

My work is shaped by the disciplines my ancestors lived, where mastery was achieved through presence, repetition, and devotion to the path. In Japanese traditions, leadership was formed through the quiet training of the self along side the mastery of your skill. Science is now catching up to prove that through ritual refining awareness, sharpened emotional control, and intentional actions create powerful quality work. Today, neuroscience validates what they already knew: the brain is shaped by what we practice with intention. Ensō Mindset brings these two worlds together—modern insight and ancestral wisdom—into a living practice for leaders ready to embody their truth.

  • Can this approach be tailored for organizational leaders vs. solo founders?

Yes. It’s designed to serve both. The Human Impact Kata focuses on aligning self-awareness, emotional clarity, and leadership rhythm. Principles that apply whether you're guiding yourself or an entire team.

When you know your why as a founder and can share it with your team in a way they can feel, it creates trust and traction. When you understand your team’s why, that’s when leadership creates more than ripples…it creates waves. Align those two, and you unlock powerful synergy and a true return on energy.

  • What is the time commitment?

Monthly webinars are 1 hour and open to anyone exploring the practice.
The Human Impact Kata is a 36-week leadership journey, with the first 12 weeks focused on core training, requiring a minimum of 2 hour class per week for guided learning, reflection, and integration.
The remaining months are designed for deeper embodiment through ongoing practice, community check-ins, and real-time application.
All programs are about lasting change through rhythm, presence, and commitment.
